Selecting Lessons
Individual Classes are one on one classes, studying the standard curriculum. Please make an inquiry to check the availability.
Intensive Classes are a mix of all available classes for 8 hours a day.We offer one on one or group but subject to availability.
Join a Group are group classes, a perfect way to practice your skills with other students. (minimum of 5 students and subject to availability)
Custom Classes are 100% tailored classes and come with custom Australian curriculum, flexible student numbers and custom times . Please make an inquiry to check the availability. Please note the fees may be higher.
Class Placement
Before selecting the subjects you wish to study at our school, it is essential to take an English proficiency test. This will allow us to assess your language skills and ensure you are placed in the appropriate class level for optimal learning. Whether you’re focusing on grammar, writing, or conversation, this initial assessment helps tailor your learning experience, placing you in the right courses suited to your abilities and goals.
By completing the test, we can create a personalized learning plan that will challenge and support your progress.
After completing your English proficiency test, you will be placed in a suitable grade level based on your language skills. Once your placement is confirmed, you will be able to choose the subjects you wish to study. Please note that the grade you are placed in may differ from the one you study in your home country, as it is based on your English proficiency rather than your current academic level. Additionally, some classes may be subject to availability, so we encourage you to select your preferences early to secure a spot in your desired subjects.
Curriculum & Class Materials
At The Journey of Learning Languages, we offer a wide range of classes and subjects based on the Victorian State Curriculum, widely regarded as one of the best educational systems in Australia. This curriculum provides a comprehensive and balanced approach to education, focusing on developing essential skills and knowledge for students to thrive academically.
We teach a majority of the subjects covered under the Victorian State Curriculum, following all regulations and standards to ensure the highest quality of education. Our goal is to align with the curriculum’s academic objectives, ensuring that our students achieve the same educational outcomes as those in Victoria’s mainstream schools.
The Victorian State Curriculum mandates the use of approved textbooks that change annually. As part of our commitment to delivering a consistent and accredited education, we also use these textbooks. While we do not provide the textbooks directly, we will guide you to places where they can be purchased or suggest alternative solutions to meet your learning needs. This ensures that you stay on track with the same materials as students in Victoria, Australia, and gain the most from your educational journey.
Holidays
Since our school and staff are based in the United Kingdom, we are required by law to provide staff time off for all public holidays. However, it is at the discretion of the teacher whether classes will still take place on these days. Public Holidays for The United Kingdom are as follow: January 1st, March 29th, April 1st (Subject to change), May 6th, May 27th, August 26th, December 25th & 26th.
At The Journey of Learning Languages, we understand the cultural significance of national holidays and the need for time to celebrate them with family and loved ones. That’s why we do not hold classes during major public holidays, such as Chinese New Year also known as: Lunar New Years or Tet.
Prices
Group Classes – £12 per class per hour, per student (Minimum 5 students and subject to availability).
One on One Classes – £ 30 per class per hour, per student.
Intensive Group Classes – £12 per hour, per student (Minimum 5 students for 8 hour class in one day. Subject to availability).
Intensive One on One Classes – £30 per hour, per student (8 hour class in one day)
Classes are available for purchase in convenient packages of 18, 25, or 50 classes.

We suggest the Intensive Classes because it gives your children the best chance to succeed in Australia.
We suggest One on One classes, this will expose them to key vocabulary.
If all the children are the same level, we recommend hour long group classes.
Custom classes are for those that want to some of subjects offered by the Australian curriculum or custom hours.
Group Classes is already operating group that you can join. This is a good way to meet people from all around the world. There is a minimum of 5 student
You can pick which subjects you want your child to learn.
It depends on your needs. If you are moving to Australia, we recommend intensive but if you want them to learn as many subjects as possible, we recommend an hour every day.
Classes cancelled more than 12 hours will be rescheduled for free. Classes cancelled under 12 hours will not be rescheduled and the teacher will receive the full hour pay. Classes must be cancelled by writing. Classes cancelled by the teacher will be rescheduled for free or a substitute teacher will be assigned. Classes will not be conducted on public holidays of the teachers and students current location
