Technology Requirements
Volvo is the main platform we use but we also use Zoom, Google Meets and Microsoft Teams.
For group classes we normally use Voov.

Normally no but there circumstances that is it acceptable. Acceptable circumstances; staying in hospital, staying with family that doesn’t have a computer/laptop, attending class from your parents work, home computer/laptop is being repaired and your home Wifi stopped working.
We strongly recommend that classes be attended only on large screen devices. This is to insure that our students are able to easily see any writing and so they don’t miss out on anything.
Normally that means your internet connection is not strong enough. Try moving closer to your Wifi or restarting your Wifi or computer/laptop.
An echo sound normally happens when external speakers are used. Try using earphones or your devices speakers.
Quickly plug in your device, wait for it to charge enough to turn on and then rejoin class while charging.
Remember, to charge your devices before class starts.
Student Experience
Yes you should print the book but you don’t have to print all of the book at once.
The teacher will upload their feedback for class at the end of their work day. Each teacher is required to upload their feedback by the end of the day in their time zone.
Somewhere quiet, with good internet connection and good surface to study on.
Normally students can not attend class from a car but if they allowed, then they should have earphones with built in microphone.
Yes, you can attend class while traveling. Just make sure you have good internet connection, you are well rested and somewhere quiet.
Yes that is possibly true but sharing is a core skill needed for our modern world.
Also other students should also have the chance to answer. Each teacher will try and divide their time in class equally, to be fair to every one.
You can also arrange for One on One classes with our teachers. This way your child will get 100% of the teachers focus.
It could also mean that the class work is too easy and your child should be moved up a level.
Message the teacher privately on Voov and tell them what they are saying or doing.
Racism is not acceptable is any form at school.
Firstly, they should not be speaking their own language in our class but if they are and they are being inappropriate, please privately message the teacher on Voov.
Try and message the teacher before the class. If that doesn’t work, then you might get a 0 for your homework.
Students will not be issued homework for every lesson but they will get homework. Some teachers like homework more than others.
Sadly, not every class can be interesting but teachers will try their best to make their classes as interesting as possible. Additionally, some teachers use learning games as a reward and will only play them if they requirements are met.
Sadly, it takes time to learn a language. Some people learn languages faster or slower than others; meaning it may take some students longer to learn a language over others.
Parents may make requests when first enrolling into class. However, we normally don’t accept requests after enrolment because our staff is highly skilled and qualified, and the teacher could understand it to be an insult.
You should inform us if the class is too easy or hard.
You should inform us if the teacher is doing subpar work.
In some countries, certain subjects and topics can be taught by law, please inform us if we accidentally teach one. Please note, we stay away from controversial topics and subjects.
Please inform us, if you think your class is too hard or easy. We will test your English level and replace you, if needed.
Learning to deal with people we don’t like is an important life skill. Also, they could become great friends with time.
For One on One, it’s just you and your teacher.
For group classes it depends. Normally our group classes have between 6 to 8 students.
Newly opened classes can have between 3 to 6 students. Established classes getting reading to become two classes, can have between 8 to 12 students.
Yes, it’s a great way to make friends with people from around the world.
Teachers and Teaching Quality
All of our teachers are qualified, experienced, with university degrees and native English speakers. Most of our teachers have more than 15 years teaching experience.
Teachers are selected through a rigorous process including qualifications review, interviews, and teaching demonstrations.
You can express a preference, and we will try to accommodate it based on availability.
Yes, all our teachers hold relevant certifications and have extensive teaching experience.
You can communicate via email, our learning platform, or during live classes.
If you have any issues, we will work to resolve them, including the possibility of switching teachers.
Yes, teachers provide regular individual feedback to help you improve.
- Yes, we offer private classes sessions in addition to group classes.
It depends on the course chosen. One on One classes can be more free to go off a specific curriculum. Group classes follow a work book and a curriculum. British and Australian classes follow their national curriculum.
We do not give out our staff’s personal information. You may ask the teacher for the information but its not common to give out this information.
If you are insistent on sending a gift to their home, we can help. You can firstly send money as a gift and you can transfer us the money and we will transfer them 100%.
If you don’t want to send them cash, we can help arrange to them a gift. Tell us what you would like to buy them, transfer us the money and we will send it to them on your behalf.
It is common practice in schools for both the U.K. and Australia. It is meant to teach punctuality, courteousness and how to be respectful. If a student is more that 25 minutes late, the teacher does not have to let the late student attend Group Classes or One on One.
There is no refund for students unable to attend class because they are late and cannot attend class.
Some teachers turn their cameras off when they are sharing the screen because they want to make it easier to see the work or to insure the focus on what they see when the screen is being shared.
After School Clubs
No, our After School Clubs are not graded. This is considered normal in schools in Australia and The United Kingdom.
Let us know which clubs you would like to attend because we are regularly opening more clubs at different times.
Clubs are a perfect way for students to learn English. Students are more likely to try harder and be interactve if they are interested in the topic.
Yes. Students will be more willing to participat if they are interested in the topic.
Yes, this is not a problem. You are more than welcome to only attend our clubs.
Yes we divide clubs into different English levels.
Some clubs have a minimum level requirement.
Yes you can join as many clubs as you like.
Yes, the point is to get students speaking about their passions in English.
Pricing, Refunds and Cancelation
It is policy that each class must be paid in advanced before attending but it is up to you how early. There are two main options for payments.
1st. Pay for multiple classes and/or clubs in advance with a payment plan. This is the preferred system because it insures there will be no misunderstandings. It is also possible to purchase multiple classes at your discretion.
2nd. We can arrange for individual payments to be automatically made hours before each class starts.
Payments can be made up to two hours before class starts.
It depends on the situation.
If you have communicated before that there will be a delay in payment, then you will most likely be able to attend class. It could also depend on how reliable you have been with late payments in the past.
If there has been no communication about late payments, you will most likely not be allowed to attend class.
This is because you didn’t cancel or inform JLL with more than12 hours notice. It is policy that classes must be cancelled with more than 12 hour notice by writing.
We are flexible in regards to methods of payments. Bank transfers are preferable when paying for multiple classes or clubs. We can also charge your bank card for individual classes hours before the class starts.
We do aim to be flexible with payments, so please contracts us to discus another options.
It depends on the situation.
We do not offer refunds if you were unable to inform us that you can’t attend class with more than 12 hours notice. We do not offer refunds classes already attended, except for extraordinary circumstances.
We offer refunds for classes that you have paid for in the future. We offer refunds or a free lesson if for some reason the teacher did not attend class.
To get a refund, you need to write us an email and if your refund meets our requirements for a refund, then you will be refunded.
Please inform us by email and we will happy to help you.
Then you must pay for the lesson. This is done because the teacher has already planned the lesson. For group classes, the teacher might have to rewrite the lesson plan because some learning activities require certain number of students.

We only employee qualified teachers; with degrees and years of experience within the U.K. and this is not cheap. To remain competitive with teachers wages in the U.K. schools, we must pay them more. We also only target highly skilled teacher for employment and that costs more.

You can pause your course and resume later, subject to our terms and conditions. You must inform us of any pauses to your classes at least 12 hours before class starts.
