One on One Classes – Just you and the teacher, studying the standard curriculum. Please make an inquiry to check the availability. 

Group Classes – Group classes are a perfect way to practice your skills with other students.  (Join a group of a minimum of 5 students and subject to availability)

Custom Classes are 100% tailored classes and come with custom curriculum, flexible student numbers and custom times . Please make an inquiry to check the availability. Please note the fees may be higher.

Class Placement 

After completing your English proficiency test, you will be placed in a suitable grade level based on your language skills. Please note that the grade you are placed in may differ from the one you study in your home country, as it is based on your English proficiency rather than your current academic level. Additionally, some classes may be subject to availability, so we encourage you to select your preferences early to secure a spot in your desired time slot.

Curriculum & Class Materials 

At The Journey of Learning Languages, we take pride in our commitment to providing a high level of education for adults. Our English for Adults classes are designed to develop essential language skills through a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension.

While the majority of our classes are based on structured textbooks, we encourage our teachers to enhance the learning experience by incorporating creative lesson edits, engaging learning games, and age-appropriate videos. This approach not only makes learning more enjoyable but also caters to different learning styles. A list of common used textbooks: Think 1 & 2, Unlock 1, Unlock Reading and Writing, Unlock 3, the Oxford Discovery books and Reading Explorer books.  Although we do not provide the textbooks directly, we will guide you to recommended places where they can be purchased or offer alternative solutions to meet your educational needs. This ensures that each students has the resources they need to thrive in their English language journey.

Holidays

Since our school and staff are based in the United Kingdom, we are required by law to provide staff time off for all public holidays. However, it is at the discretion of the teacher whether classes will still take place on these days. Public Holidays for The United Kingdom are as follow: January 1st, March 29th, April 1st (Subject to change), May 6th, May 27th, August 26th, December 25th & 26th.

At The Journey of Learning Languages, we understand the cultural significance of national holidays and the need for time to celebrate them with family and loved ones.

Group Classes – £12 per class per hour(Minimum 5 students and subject to availability).

One on One Classes – £ 26 per class per hour. 

Intensive Group Classes – £12 per hour (Minimum 5 students for 8 hour class in one day. Subject to availability).

Intensive One on One Classes – £30 per hour (8 hour class in one day)
